Our Team
Rev. Sara Freudenburg
Executive Director
Pastor Sara (M.S., M.Div) has been ordained for twelve years in the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America). Prior to becoming a Pastor she was a High School English Teacher in Texas, a Dorm Parent and Assistant Dean of Students at an all-girls boarding school in Connecticut (where she also earned her first Master’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Management), and a Director of Residential Life at a small college in Michigan. After graduating from seminary in Chicago, she served a congregation in Ann Arbor for eight years until she moved to Detroit to serve a congregation in Livonia, Michigan. Sara has a passion for people on the margins and has served the unhoused population for years. She believes in abundance, not scarcity, and is determined to share the love of God through food to those in need while providing the opportunity for others to do the same. She also has an amazing daughter who is just finished her studies at MIT in Boston and is heading to Cambridge in the UK (proud Mama)!
Rev. Alysa Offman
President
Pastor Alysa Offman serves as the board president of Jubilee Ministries as well as associate pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Livonia. She is passionate about Jubilee’s mission to change communities through food service job training.
Tony Cox
Vice President
Anthony Cox serves as Jubilee Ministries board Vice-President and has a 25 year public/private sector career in emergency management. Starting with soup kitchen volunteer service as a child, Anthony has always gravitated towards helping others with unmet needs. Anthony aligns all of his community service work with his deep Faith in God and has a passion for divine social justice for anyone marginalized or persecuted. Jubilee’s mission provides exactly that and Anthony is thankful to play a part. Anthony is blessed with a soul mate Audrey and 4 daughters.
